Yesterday the fiance and I went up to Spokane for ComiCon... dressed as Clark Kent changing into Superman and Lois Lane. The costumes were incomplete... unfortunately... mine didn't work without my fiance standing right next to me. My plan was to make a press badge, but I ran out of time before the con to actually do this

. Even though, the con was a win.
The good:
-panel on breaking into comic books
-demo on wacom tablets (I got to try the cintiq 12!)
-I was able to work on a costume for a friend which he proudly wore
-coming home with a guide on surviving the zombie apocalypse
-Olive Garden
The bad:
-not packing my own food
-really wish I'd made that press badge
-exhaustion made the whole determination to get photos thing difficult and I realized too late I came home with not that many photos... again! Let's face it, taking pictures of people/talking to people makes me nervous.
As for the food... it actually didn't occur to me that being such a small con there wouldn't be more in form of edible options. There were donuts, chips, candy, and soda. Being allergic to soy (and a few other things) + hypoglycemic = the only thing I could eat: lay's potato chips & leaving the con early. So yes, I will be bringing my own food next year. And speaking of food, afterwards we headed to Olive Garden... which was quite an adventure in itself. In short, our waitress was extremely awesome and understanding and worked super hard to find something I could eat!
Side note: unpacking is still in progress... bleh!
